Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do you ship?

A: All UpAndSee learning towers are shipped from Steinhausen, as B-post by Post.ch. without tracking number in Switzerland. Orders are shipped on the day of ordering or the first following workday. Weekend and holiday orders are shipped on the first work day after receiving your order. Once shipped, the delivery time is 2-3 working days.

Q: What is maximum weight and height for children using the tower?

A: The tower is designed for children up to 50kg and 110cm

Q: How do I clean the learning tower?

A: Water, a cloth, maybe a brush and mild soap is fine. Do not use solvents of any kind.

Q: How large is the learning tower?

A: The tower is 91cm tall, 50cm wide at the base and 41cm deep at the base.

Q: What kind of wood do you use?

A: We use only Baltic Birch, grown in Europe. The wood is laminated as plywood, which is the superior choice for a learning tower. Plywood is strong, does not warp during storage or humidity changes - and is even used in aircraft. Not the least: Plywood looks great. We guarantee that we will never use a cheap material like MDF “wood” to manufacture our learning towers.

Q: How heavy is the learning tower?

A: The weight is 6kg, allowing easy handling. The low weight is possible due the clever angling and interlocking of the plywood panels. You will notice this while assembling the tower.

Q: Do I need any tools for adjusting the learning tower height?

A: Yes, a standard allen key/hex key (included in the package) is required for height adjustments. Expect 10-15 minutes for unboxing and assembly.

Q: When can my child start using the learning tower?

A: As soon as the child is confident at standing. A 15-month old will have great fun.

Q: Are floor protection pads provided?

A: Yes. The tower is supplied with four felt paddings for its feet. Do note, that such pads will wear over time and must be replaced. The interval depends on your type of floor and how much the tower is pushed around by your little ones. We recommend to lift the tower whenever it is moved from one tableside to another. Replacement felt pads can be found in any hardware store like Coop Bau+Hobby, Jumbo, Hornbach and Bauhaus.

Q: How about safety?

A: We believe in the Montessori philosophy that children learn best if they can go explore and learn at their own initiative. An UpAndSee tower is not a box - it is a tool the children can climb themselves without the need for a parent lifting. Therefore the tower is always open for acces, climbing and exit. There is no door or gate to be opened and closed. The children will quickly learn themselves how to handle this in their standard approach to furniture. There is no guarantee against falling but the tower is a solid safety upgrade compared to normal chairs with no rails whatsoever. Never leave the children unattended. Teach them how to climb the tower in a good way. Never place the tower so that the children can reach sharp, pointy or hot things. Only one child at a time may use the tower.

Q: Is there a warranty on the towers?

A: Yes. We provide two years warranty from the date of sale.

Q: What is your return and refund policy?

A: An unused, undamaged tower can be returned within 14 days from purchase. Please send us an email to contact@upandsee.info for arranging the refund and receiving the return address.
